Christmas Day
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Mine was really great. We spent Christmas Eve in Brighton with friends, sipping mulled cider and pints of beer in a pub round the corner, before rushing home in the pouring rain and tucking ourselves into bed. I woke up pretty early on Christmas morning (yes, I am a child!) and made sure Trout was awake, too. Santa had come! We sat up in bed and opened our stockings; I was spoilt by Santa this year! After we had washed up and packed our bags Trout made us a special brekka, then we loaded up the car and drove to my parents. It was so nice seeing them all, and once we had had a bit of a catch-up we got on with the present opening. Then it was time for Champagne and Christmas Lunch prep!
We shared out different contributions and helped Mum put everything together. It all tasted so good! Trout’s nut roast wellington, my sister’s cracking sprouts with chestnuts and ‘bacon’, and her mashed swede and stuffing, my Mum’s brilliant roasted carrots and potatoes, and my favourite – broccoli. Covered with plenty of Redwoods gravy and washed down with glasses of red wine. We swiftly followed the main course by a big bowl of Christmas pud; mine had lashings of Alpro cream. So stuffed, but very happy.

And I really missed our little Whiskerface! We checked in on him everyday, but didn’t really get to spend much time with little (ahem) Rasputin until Boxing Day evening. I cannot wait to show you guys the Christmas present that my sister got him! It’s absolutely amazing.

I hope you guys all had a great Christmas! Did Santa bring you what you wanted? Any plans for NYE?

Glad you had a lovely Christmas! I got very spoilt too
